Lately I’ve been Loving…

1. Afternoon Walks

It’s that time of year when the nights are getting cooler, but the days are still moderately warm. Unfortunately this warmth takes a while to make its way inside. So recently my husband and I have enjoyed getting outside for a pleasant afternoon walk in the sunshine to escape the chill of our house. It’s a great motivator to get some exercise and fresh air.

Struggling to Read

I have read 20 books so far this year, which is a quarter of my goal. That sounds pretty good, and Goodreads tells me that’s only 2 books behind schedule. But I feel like it has been hard going. There have been a few books I have borrowed from the library, only to return them unread (or barely read). I have scoured my bookshelves and felt uninspired.

I finished my diploma (which feels like ages ago), I’ve gotten involved in new ministries, I’ve spent hours and hours looking after children, and read a whole lot of wonderful books. Read More »

An Arm-Full of Books

Today I was the girl walking home from the library with eight books bundled under my right arm. It sounds awkward, but I coped. I didn’t even bother stopping when my shoelace became undone halfway through the trip. The sun was shining and I was happy with all the new books waiting to be read.Read More »
